Organic Siber Frill Kale (Brassica Napus) - Eye catching, instensly cut and curled specialty kale variety with lacy blue green leaves and tender texture. Beautifull frilly leaves are sweet and barely requires chopping. Absolutely stunning, adding a great addition to salad bowl when eaten raw, cooked or stir-fried. Adda a unique touch to every garden. Plant is 24in (60cm) tall. Frost tolerant hardy biennial. Harvest in 60-70 days.
Growing: for tropical climate can be grown to baby stage only. Planting season: Early spring, starting from transplants four weeks prior the last frost date or direct seeding once the soil can be worked. Fall, sowing seeds two months prior first expected frost for full size and up until frost for baby leaf. Soil: Well drained, fertile soil high in organic matter, with a pH 6-7.5. Can tolerate slightly alkaline soil. Sowing depth: 1/4-1/2in (0.6-1.2cm); Plant spacing: Baby leaf, direct seeding - 60 seeds/ft in 2-4in (5-10cm) bands; Full size - 12-18in (30-45cm). Row spacing: 18-30in (45-76cm) for full size. Sun: full sun/partial shade; Moisture: regular watering to keep the soil moist (not wet). Fertlizing: recommended.
