Extremely Hot Chili Pepper 'Fatalii' (Capsicum Chinense) - Extremely hot, highly productive habanero type chili variety with aromatic citrus flavour. Scoville index 120,000-400,000. Deep green fruits rippen to bright orange and look wonderful loaded on a 30in (76cm) plant. Perfect container plant. Fruits can be eaten fresh, roasted, made to salsas, dried, pickled and added to a variety of cooking. Harvest in 90 days. Warm climate annual.
Growing: Planting season: year round in warm/tropical climates; in temperate climates - early spring for transplant starting 8-12 weeks prior the last frost date, or direct seeding 2-4 weeks after the expected frost date. Soil temp: 68F (+20C) and above; Soil: well drained, fertile soil rich in organic matter. Peppers are heavy feeders, consider adding additional compost to the soil before planting. Sowing depth: 1/4-1/2in (0.6-1.2cm) deep inside soil trays or pots. Transfer to 3-4in (7-10cm) pots when true leaves appear. When transplanting, bury seedlings up the stems up to their leaves. Germination period: 14-20 days. Plant space: 12-24in (30-60cm) apart. Light: full sun; Moisture: regular watering to keep the soil moist (not wet). Fertilizing: Needed, as peppers are heavy feeders.
